Scope

This policy covers the public website at allostasisproject.org, its Chinese-language edition and the tcite.org citation-link service. The project is founded and supported by Resilio. Operational responsibility and our contact address are identified above.

This policy describes the current website. It does not enroll you in research, cover a separate Resilio product purchase or grant consent to a future study. Any future research that collects participant data will need its own information and participation process.

Browsing and technical requests

When you open a page, download a publication or follow a tcite.org link, your browser sends a request through Vercel, our hosting and delivery provider. Technical information can include your IP address, requested address and query parameters, time, browser or device information, referring page where supplied, and response status. This processing supports page delivery, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

The current public site does not embed advertising pixels, session-replay tools or Google Analytics. Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools provide search-performance reports to the project; their site-verification tags do not submit assessment answers. Ordinary hosting and security processing still occurs when you browse.

Cookies and browser storage

The current site application does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting-layer security features may operate separately from the page application, under the hosting provider’s service policies.

The Load & Recovery Profile uses one local browser-storage entry only when you choose “Save on this device” or start the optional diary. It contains the instrument version, your answers, selected contexts, completion date and any diary entries. There is no automatic expiry in the tool: saved data remains until you delete it, clear site data or the browser removes it.

Device storage is not a TAP account or cloud backup. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to open it. You can use the profile without saving. Closing, reloading or leaving the page discards unsaved answers.

Assessment answers and daily records

Questionnaire responses and diary entries are processed in your browser. The current tool has no answer-upload endpoint and does not send those responses to TAP, Resilio, Sanity or an AI service. It does not put answers in page addresses. Viewing the assessment page still involves the technical requests described above.

Reports and data exports are generated locally when you choose to download or print. You control those copies and any later sharing. We cannot retrieve your browser-only answers or remotely delete copies you downloaded or printed.

Use “Delete answers & start again” in the profile, or “Delete saved data from this device” on its start page, to remove the tool’s saved record and the answers in that page. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing browser data does not delete exported or printed copies.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message, any attachments you include and email delivery information. We use this to respond, investigate corrections or permissions requests, handle privacy enquiries and keep the necessary correspondence record. Email is processed by the services used to send and receive it.

Please send only what is needed for the request. A page URL, TAP ID, relevant edition and a description usually suffice for a content correction. Do not send medical records, full assessment reports, passwords or identity documents unless a specific need has been established.

Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing or enroll you in a study. A correction may lead to a public content update; we will not publish your name, email or private correspondence as part of that update without your permission, unless legally required.

Service providers and access

Vercel provides hosting, delivery and technical security services. Sanity is used by our editorial team to manage publication content; the public site is built from that content, and visitor questionnaire answers are not stored in Sanity. Email providers process messages you choose to send.

Information is accessible to people and providers who need it to operate these services or handle your request. We do not sell assessment answers or provide them to advertisers; the tool does not collect them centrally. We may disclose information we hold where required by law or necessary to address misuse or protect legal rights.

Our providers may process technical information or correspondence outside your country or region. Their service terms and data-protection arrangements govern that processing. This does not turn the assessment’s optional device storage into a server database.

How long information remains

Unsaved assessment responses last only for the current page session. Saved profiles and diary entries remain on your device until you or the browser remove them. Exported reports remain wherever you save or share them.

Technical request and security logs are subject to the hosting service’s retention settings and operational or security requirements. A visible runtime-log window is not a promise that every category of provider-held data is deleted at the same time. The provider’s documentation and privacy notice give further detail.

Correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary follow-up records and meet applicable legal or dispute-related obligations. It is not kept to build a health profile or marketing list. When the reason for retention ends, we delete or de-identify it; service backups may follow their own deletion cycle.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can read the site without creating an account, decline device storage, delete saved assessment data yourself and choose not to send email. Browsers also provide controls for site data and privacy settings.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of information we hold, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the address on this page. We may need proportionate information to locate the relevant record and verify the request. We cannot supply questionnaire answers that never reached us.

You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority where applicable. A request concerning an external website should be directed to that service.

Age and intended use

The Load & Recovery Profile is intended for adults aged 18 or older. It asks for an age confirmation, not a date of birth. The wider website provides public science education. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our contact address, let us know so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top identifies the current policy. If we introduce new tracking, data collection or research participation, we will present the relevant information and choices before that processing starts.
